Epok Advice Welcomes Sue MacDonald as Strategic Partner, Expanding Organic Growth and Transformation Capabilities Across North America

Toronto, ON – April 2026 – Epok Advice, a boutique strategy and executive advisory firm serving leaders across wealth management, asset management, and WealthTech, today announced that Sue MacDonald has joined the firm as a Strategic Partner, expanding Epok’s capabilities in organic growth strategy, commercial transformation, and post-acquisition integration.

Financial services firms are under growing pressure to accelerate organic growth while simultaneously managing complex operational transformations, post-transaction integrations, and go-to-market execution. Sue’s addition to the Epok team brings deep, hands-on experience doing exactly that from inside the business.

A track record of leading growth from the inside

Sue brings more than 20 years of growth and operating leadership across financial services, with senior roles at TD Bank, TD Asset Management, Scotiabank, People Corporation, and Wellington Altus.

At Scotiabank, she led retail customer growth and drove $250MM+ in incremental revenue across credit, investments, and banking. At People Corporation (Goldman Sachs backed, Canada’s largest group benefits brokerage), she served as Chief Product and Marketing Officer with corporate-wide accountability for product, marketing, integration, and governance across the full 80+ company portfolio, while directly running an $85MM P&L across ancillary services, delivering 12% organic growth and 33% EBITDA margin improvement in year one. At TD, she spent 14 years in progressive leadership including Head of Customer Acquisition and CMO, launching the company’s fastest growing product at $9B in AUM.

Most recently, Sue developed enterprise growth strategy for Wellington Altus, Canada’s largest private wealth management firm, including a proprietary AI-enabled direct-to-client advisory program.

Complementary expertise: strategy meets execution

Sue’s addition strengthens Epok’s ability to serve clients across both strategy and execution. Where Epok has traditionally focused on growth strategy, market positioning, and advisory at the board and executive level, Sue brings a complementary lens shaped by years of owning the P&L and running growth from inside the business.

Quotes

“Sue has actually sat in the seat,” said Kendra Thompson, Founder & Principal of Epok Advice. “She’s run large P&Ls, led complex integrations, and driven measurable growth in competitive markets. That kind of operating credibility is what our clients are looking for. Where I tend to come at things from the strategy and growth side, Sue brings the execution lens. That’s a combination that lands immediately.”

“I’ve spent most of my career figuring out how to accelerate organic growth inside complex businesses,” said Sue MacDonald. “Epok is exactly the kind of firm I’ve always respected. Boutique by design, senior led in practice, and built on the belief that the best advice comes from people who’ve actually done the work. I’m looking forward to bringing that operating perspective to Epok’s clients across North America.”
